Latin America Data Insight (Q3 2016)
Posted On: 29 Nov 2016
Fundraising in Latin America has continued to decline since its 2014 peak at US$10 billion, with fund managers raising just US$2.7 billion in Q1-Q3 2016. Fund managers retain plenty of dry powder in the region, as currency risk and the political and economic challenges of several key markets prompt greater caution in deploying capital. GPs invested US$1.7 billion in Q1-Q3 2016, down 20%, year-on-year.
