Partner, Clifford Chance
Kem Ihenacho is a partner in the Global private equity transactions practice at Clifford Chance, which consists of over 70 specialist private equity partners based in Europe, the US and Asia. Mr Ihenacho specialises in advising many of the world's leading private equity funds on acquisitions and divestments in leveraged buy-out transactions and growth and venture capital transactions and also advises their portfolio companies on material corporate, corporate finance and capital markets transactions. He also advises management teams on their participation in management buy outs. Mr Ihenacho received his LLB (hons) from Cardiff University, trained at a leading UK national law firm, joined Clifford Chance in 1999 and became a partner in 2007. He is also a member of the firm's Africa Group, leads its Africa private equity practice and its West Africa practice. Mr Ihenacho sits on the board of the Clifford Chance Foundation and regularly advises charities and not for profit organisations on a pro-bono basis. He is also an advisory board member of Rare Recruitment, a business focussed on promoting diversity through recruitment into financial services and related professions in the City of London.
