Evren is a founder of Turkven, the leading alternative asset manager in Turkey. The firm manages over US$1500 million in private equity with 16 investment professionals based in Istanbul.
Turkven has raised the first ever private equity fund for Turkey (2002) and went on to realize the first venture backed LBO (Uno, 2003) and the largest venture backed LBO (Migros, 2008) in Turkey among its 15 investments.
Turkven specializes in selecting market leaders in industries which combine high growth and recurring revenues. The current portfolio includes companies such as the leading credit card processing, food retail and alarm monitoring companies in Turkey as well as number #1 K12 school chain, largest home delivery restaurant chain, number #1 denim based apparel player among others.
The firm has a successful track record of co-operation with global firms such as Advent International, Providence Equity Partners and BC Partners on larger deals, breaking new ground for the Turkish private equity market.
Evren formerly worked at McKinsey & Company in Istanbul and Seoul.
Evren has an MBA from INSEAD and an MS and BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. Evren serves on the Boards of Migros and Provus and acted as a Board Member of Uno Intercity and Trendtech, prior to their disposals.
